The Politician In Me

I used to be a Political Science major when I first started at Loyola...I wanted to be a lawyer (don't laugh Tim :p)...mainly cause I like to argue and stuff...but I decided to switch majors cause I'd rather not have to deal with all the bullcorn classes that Loyola makes you take in order to graduate with a BA in Poly Sci...

but the short time I was in Poly Sci open my eyes and showed me that I'm am almost a republican...

I know...a gay black republican...it boggles the mind...but I'm really conservative on a lot of things...

but to get to the point...a lot of things in New Orleans have been pissing me off to no end

first...some hotel company wants to build a hotel in the French Quater...normally I would be with the preservationist about maintaining the historical value of the FQ (gotta keep the smut and piss smell like it always is) but the place that hotel is to built on is a parking lot...of course they freaks got their way cause Nagin vetoed the City Council's vote...pinkos...

second...everyone knows that the Orleans School System is corrupt to that of Huey P. Long proportions..so now they are thinking about letting go of 800 employees (not teachers as they said...but who know how long that wil last)... and now they are going after Lusher School to get more money...you see, to those not from New Orleans, Lusher Elementary and Junior High is the most acclaimed public school in New Orleans...and I happen to be an alumnus :)...but anyways...Lusher has a very devoted PTA and they plan a lot of fundraisers for the school...and they get A LOT of money from them over the year, and the money has always gone right back to the school...and the school board was always okay with this...now they want Lusher to give the money over to the system for the rest of the schools...more pinkos...

maybe I should stick around in New Orleans, and try to clean up the city and all of its corruption...reminds me of the last season of "Angel"...now I just need to get 2 vampires with souls, a formerly all-powerful goddess, a couple of humans, and a demon lounge singer, and I'll be all set...
